Music video ideas testing

As a group we all went out to create an experimental planning video which would test some of our ideas in reality to see if they where as affective as we first thought and also fit well in our genre; this helped us decided whether or not to keep or remove certain parts and ideas that we first had. The first idea of which we had thought of was that the male performer, George, would pose in pictures with another girl (polaroid paper) which would show that the performer was liked by the girls and that every wants him, this will include our artist. The artist will therefore try to get the attention of this boy and this will mean sneaking around spying on him, which is our concept, due to her wishing that she could be with him, the reason for spying is because she doesn't feel that she is good enough for him and there is always a crowd of girls around wanting him. For this shot we will use a tracking shot which will be following the artist while keeping the performer in the background, this will show what the artist is doing as well as showing her interest in him, this shot will follow into a over the shoulder shot. Another shot which we will use in this location is a point of view shot (POV) which will give the impression that we are looking through the artists eyes. In order to do this we will use the fig rig to get a smooth action while filming, the type of shot that we would like to do is demonstrated in the video above; this shot will take place in the bowling alley or in London as these are the best locations for this shot.
The other idea that we demonstrated in the video above is the use of performance. In the clip above we show how the dancers will have a set routine and perform with a great facial expression, in order to show the fun and excitement of the pop genre. The performance will mainly take part in the dance studio but also may take place in the house or bedroom as this will fit in with the genre better as this looks more conventional.
Finally, we also tried the use of slow motion at the end which will show the performer and artist to have a sexy vibe which is very convention in the pop genre as most of the female artist becoming a sex symbol.
